How do I know it's time?
It’s one of the hardest questions, and you don’t have to answer it alone. Many families notice their pet is no longer enjoying the things they love, or is in discomfort that can’t be eased. A registered vet can talk it through with you honestly and gently. Call us any time and we’ll help you think it through.
What happens during the visit?
A registered vet comes to your home and takes time to put your pet at ease. When everyone is ready, your pet is given a sedative so they feel calm and sleepy, followed by the final injection. It’s quiet, gentle and completely unhurried.
Will it be peaceful?
Yes. Your pet simply drifts into a deep sleep, free from fear or pain, with you beside them. Most families tell us afterwards that it was far more peaceful than they had expected.
Can my children and other pets be there?
Of course. Being at home means you choose who is present. Some families find it helps their other pets to understand, and children can say goodbye in their own way. There’s no right or wrong — only what feels right for you.
How soon can you come?
We understand some moments can’t wait. We’re here 24/7 and will always do our best to arrange a visit as quickly as possible — often the same day. Call 0141 459 1728 and we’ll talk through the options with you.
When will I get their ashes back?
After an individual cremation, your pet’s ashes are returned to you — usually within a few days, and sometimes sooner. They are only ever your pet’s ashes, never mixed with another.
